What does it cost to run?
You pay your AI provider directly, by usage. How to keep it predictable.
Twelve Seat uses your AI keys, so AI usage is billed by Anthropic or OpenAI straight to your account, at their published rates. Each provider's dashboard shows exactly what you've spent.
What uses the most
- Board meetings are the biggest: several advisors each read your business context and reply, sometimes over a few rounds.
- Web research adds the cost of searches and pages read.
- Voice: realtime voice is billed per minute of audio, so long calls cost more than text.
- Executive Assistant chats, memory updates and action item reviews are small.
Keep it predictable
- Set a monthly limit in each provider's dashboard (Anthropic Console → Settings → Limits; OpenAI → Settings → Limits).
- Use the Executive Assistant to shape a question before you convene the full board.
- Use a 1:1 with one advisor for focused functional questions instead of a joint session.
- Lower the web search cap in Settings, or turn web research off.
- Use *Fast* Live speed for the assistant, which is the default.
