Connections
Twelve Seat is built from three connected parts. Claude and ChatGPT are the minds behind each seat. Twelve Seat is the boardroom that holds your business: its memory, plans, CRM and team. And Grok Bot is the bridge out to the real world, where emails get sent, people get followed up with, and work actually happens.
Every advisor thinks on a leading AI model, through your own API key.

Why it's built this way
The parts of your business that need judgment and privacy (your numbers, your plans, your people) stay inside Twelve Seat. The parts that need to reach the outside world go through one agent you already trust and approve. That separation is the point.
Twelve Seat never stores your email or account passwords. Outside actions go through Grok Bot.
Every real-world action is confirmed with you by Grok Bot, so nothing goes out by surprise.
Grok Bot's token can only add notes and update tasks. Disconnect it in Settings any time.
Your twelve spend their effort on judgment and planning, not on clicking through tools.
A decision, end to end
Ask the joint board: “Should we raise prices on our service plans?”
Pulls the relevant company memory and live CRM numbers, then seats the Chair, CFO and CRO.
Each advisor thinks on its own model. The CFO models the cash impact and the Chair asks you one question.
Records the resolution, creates CRM tasks for your sales lead, and saves your answer as a verified fact.
Receives the task, checks with you, then emails your sales lead the new price sheet and handles their reply.
Logs “Sales lead confirmed, new pricing live Monday” on the task and marks it done.
Sees the update next time you meet, and follows up on results.
Paste an API key from console.anthropic.com or platform.openai.com into Settings → Connected services and click Test.
Copy the setup message from Settings into your Grok Bot chat, paste back the routine's Webhook URL and Authorization header, then verify with a one-time code.
Add employees in CRM → Team. They get a CRM-only login, so the board and Grok Bot can assign them work and follow up.
It could, but then it would need access to your inbox, your accounts and your tools. Keeping those with Grok Bot (an assistant you already control) means Twelve Seat never holds the keys to your email, and every outside action is approved by you in one place.
No. One key is enough. Connecting both lets Twelve Seat seat different models at different chairs, which gives you more genuinely different points of view.
No. Without it, Twelve Seat still advises, remembers, plans and runs your CRM. Grok Bot is what lets those plans leave the app and get done in the real world.
Only what a given advisor needs for the current discussion: a short core profile, the relevant memories, a bounded view of the CRM, and the meeting itself. Not your whole account.
Only two things, and only with your private token: it can add notes to CRM records and update the status of a task. It can't read your boardroom, memory, financials or settings.
Claude is a trademark of Anthropic and ChatGPT a trademark of OpenAI. Twelve Seat connects to each, and to your Grok Bot, through your own accounts.
