Connect Grok Bot
Give your board a way to get real-world work done through your Grok agent.
Grok Bot is your agent in Grok. Twelve Seat sends it tasks through a webhook routine, a secure address that Grok listens on. Grok then does the work (emails, research, follow-ups) and reports back in your Grok chat.
Set it up
- In Twelve Seat, go to Settings → Grok Bot and copy the setup message.
- Paste it into a chat with Grok Bot. It creates a routine called "Twelve Seat – tasks from my AI board" with a webhook trigger.
- In Grok, open the Routines tab, open that routine and copy its Webhook URL and Authorization header.
- Paste both into Twelve Seat → Settings → Grok Bot and click Save connection.
- Click Send test task. Grok Bot replies in your Grok chat with a short code.
- Type that code into Twelve Seat and click Verify. You're connected.
Using it
- Your Executive Assistant can draft Grok tasks ("have Grok email…"), which you approve with one click. On a live call, they read the task back and send it once you say yes.
- Action items and board resolutions have a Send to Grok Bot button.
- Optional: turn on automatic hand-off so new action items go to Grok automatically.
- Grok always checks with you before emailing anyone, spending money or deleting anything.
Troubleshooting
- 401 or 403: the Authorization header is wrong. Copy it again from the routine.
- 404: the Webhook URL is wrong, or the routine was deleted.
- Times out: Grok didn't answer within 15 seconds. Try again; check that the routine is enabled.
